Project a Day
Sometimes walking into the studio can be the most difficult thing in the world if no ideas are enticing me through the door. Additionally, most of my work can take weeks, months, or even a year! The day to day can really bog down my inspiration. The best remedy is play and as a result, last summer I did a project-a-day for 21 days. Not surprisingly the best pieces came on days 20 and 21! I look forward to taking on the challenge again.
Rules I created for myself:
1. No drawing or planning
2. No measuring
3. Use only materials from scrap or items from my vast collection of beads, old jewelry, or random bits from around the studio.
4. If I wanted a day off, I had to produce 2 pieces the day before.
